Hi guys, Pastor Chad here. Myself and a couple of friends have developed a church planting ministry called Unique1 Network. Our church planting model is a little different than most because we begin with a recovery community.  This is the one thing that makes this model very unique; each plant will use a recovery platform to launch the church (right now, all models are saying, put recovery ministry in already existing churches, but this model says, let the recovery community be the church). Of course, the recovery program Addiction Deliverance Outreach (ADO), will be that platform. We look for recovery communities who are not already affiliated with another church and then create a church.

Here's the other thing...our goal is not to plant a recovery church, although that is exactly what it will be in the beginning. Therefore, we start out as a recovery church, but will grow into a church...with a recovery ministry...because you start reaching the (non-using) family and friends of those who are in recovery. So, we are calling the plants Video Plants (or VP's).

The video planting ministry (Unique1 Network) will furnish weekly sermon DVD's to the plants; these sermons will come from my home church (Caveland Church). There will be campus pastors, just like a multi-site video venue. However, the church will have it's own worship style, service times, etc. as it fits demographically. The doctrine and guidelines of Unique1 Ministries will be adopted by each church plant and are the same as Caveland Church. The preaching pastor (who is me) will make random visits to preach in person from time to time until the church becomes solid.

Lastly, as the church grows and we feel there are the right things in place (pastor, leaders, etc.) for the church to become a literal "church plant" we cut it loose from U1 and it becomes its own church. They may stick with my videos or find their own flesh and blood pastor. We allow it to grow organically as the Spirit directs.

Right now, we have a video church planted in Dallas Texas...and it is doing very well. It officially began late March of 2009, and we are already seeing weekly growth...we are at about 50 per week as of September 2009.

This is all a new deal...so we are still waiting to see what is going to come out of all this...only God knows!
